Leicester Falcons Academy – Training for the future

Leicester Falcons Academy trains and plays at the Falcons home ground, Babbington Community College, Strasbourg Drive, Leicester.

How to get there

New recruits are always welcome. No experience is required to start and full training is given.

Falcons Youth (14 -17)

Following the launch of the Junior team, the Falcons started after-school clubs at a number of schools, which act as a recruitment for the Junior team, but one school in particular, Beaumont Leys School, proved very enthusiastic. This school club for under 16s had a tremendous turnout with in excess of 30 young people participating each week. The after-school co-ordinator Shaun Issit felt that he wanted the programme to focus on the kitted game, not flag football.

Thanks to the help of BAFA and their new 'Kick Start' programme, this has become achievable through the loan of equipment and will allow the team to compete in 2012.

Falcons Juniors (16 - 19)

It is with regret that a decision was made yesterday evening (17th March) to withdraw the Falcons Junior Squad from the League for 2013. This was due to many reasons but the front runner was concern for the safety of the players with such a small squad. However, the Falcons will continue to recruit and never turn away any potential Football players at any age and all enquiry routes are still open for those interested in joining the Club. We will look to re-astabalish ourselves at this level for 2014.
