Gridiron Strong joins Falcons

The Falcons are pleased to announce that Gridiron Strong have joined the Club to lead our medical, S&C and Recovery Program. The Falcons announced earlier this year that they are being sponsored by the leading gym and private hospital company in the UK, Nuffield Health. Which gives all our players and their family access to the highest quality medical diagnosis in the country at a fraction of the cost. We now have access to MRI, CT, Ultrasound and X-ray machines. This means when a player is injured they can be diagnosed withing 48 hours.

With Ellie Travis leading up the program we are confident we have the best player medical support in the UK. Providing high quality care for our members is paramount to our program. Ellie joins us as the Head of Medical Support following previous stints at Newcastle Vikings, UWE Bullets and GB women’s flag team to name but a few.

Coach Grossner is very excited about the appointment. “When I started at the Falcons Guy Kersey ensured me we would recruit the best staff possible, with Ellie he has certainly stuck to his word. In order to deliver the best possible performance from our athletes we need the best medical S&C and rehab coaches. With Ellie we have that. I am so excited to work with her”

Ellie said about joining the Falcons “I am very excited to be joining the Falcons family this season. The Leicester Falcons are committed to developing the British game, and I’m extremely grateful they have asked Gridiron Strong to help in this endeavour. I look forward to meeting and working with the team very soon!”
